The KEM Hospital, Pune, India, is the largest Non-Govt. Organization hospital in the Pune District of Maharashtra State.

Run by the KEM Hospital Society, it is registered under the Societies' Registration Act 1860 and the Bombay Public Trusts Act 1950. The hospital is a 550-bedded, tertiary-level teaching institution, serving not only the people of the city itself, but also a large populace coming from the surrounding urban and rural areas.

In April 1944, Sardar Moodliar approached Edulji for a locum doctor for the 40-bedded maternity hospital, the KEM Hospital. Edulji sent his 27-year-old sister-in-law. Six months later it became a permanent job and Banoobai moved into the KEM with her husband and son, as Chief Medical Officer. Thus began a 55-year long career that transformed both the young doctor and the small hospital.
