  Nursing Home

The A.H. Wadia Nursing Home was built in the year 1969 with a generous donation from the A.H. Wadia Trust. The building is conveniently located in the Southern part of the hospital campus. There is plenty of greenery around and parking facilities are available.

The Nursing Home, which is the hospital's private wing, is a three storied structure with private ,semi-private rooms and luxury rooms.

The rooms are spacious and well ventilated. The L shaped corridors meet at a centrally located nursing station. There is a waiting area for visitors.

The total number of beds available is 149.

The Luxury Rooms are large, individually air-conditioned rooms with a television with cable connection, a telephone and a refrigerator. Each room has a Fowler's bed for the patient and a bed for one relative/ attendant. There is a choice of air-conditioned and non air-conditioned Private Rooms. All these rooms have attached bathrooms.

In semi-private rooms, two patients are separated by a curtain screen. There is a common bathroom between both patients. Each bed is provided with a chair for the attendant, a food trolley and a locker.

For the convenience of patients and their relatives there is a telephone booth just outside the NH Building and a telephone coin box also located on the 2nd floor of the building.

Registration of patients is done at the ground floor Reception Counter and patients are admitted round the clock.

KEM is a non-dietary hospital. However, patients and their relatives can avail the facilities of the canteen popularly known as the Doctor's Club, which provides room service to the patients.

There are affordable hotels and low priced small lodging houses in close proximity to the Nursing Home.
